Puerto Rico's home-for-sale market stays thin as asking prices climb
Puerto Rico has 3 months (August 2025 to October 2025) of supply of homes for sale, according to RED Atlas records. The figure is partial and does not yet count every sale on the island.
The governor of Puerto Rico's housing projects and buyer-assistance programs were presented as progress on a promise to expand inventory and homeownership in an opinion column published by El Vocero, elvocero.com, according to the outlet. The column also said that inventory remains scarce, prices remain high and buying remains too hard for many families.
The typical listing on the island has been on the market for 29.2 days (September 2026). That figure is also partial, and it counts a listing taken off the market as sold, so some of those homes may not have found a buyer.
The median asking price of homes listed for sale is $290,612 (September 2026). That is the price sellers asked, and it does not record what buyers paid.
The median asking price is 4.1% (September 2026) higher than twelve months earlier.
