Montehiedra house goes for $1,220,000 at a foreclosure sale
MCLP Asset Company Inc. took a house at J-23 Calle Bienteveo, Urbanización Montehiedra in Caimito, San Juan, at a court-ordered foreclosure sale for $1,220,000, in a deed dated October 6, 2026. The price matches, to the dollar, the $1,220,000 mortgage on the house, whose promissory note was replaced in a deed dated September 30, 2025.
A judicial sale is the sale at public auction, by court order, of a property seized to pay a debt; the court marshal signs the deed that transfers it. The house has been through the courts before: in a deed dated August 13, 2014, Puerto Rico's courts administration sold it to a mortgage lender for $610,000.
Elsewhere in Urbanización Montehiedra this year, a house on Calle Falcón sold for $1,300,000 in a deed dated April 30, 2026, and one on Calle Turpial for $1,670,000 in a deed dated February 25, 2026.
The buyer
Between October 2024 and August 2026 the company took at least seven other properties at court-ordered sales, in Yabucoa, Ceiba, Carolina, Hatillo, Camuy, Patillas and Canóvanas. The Montehiedra house cost more than eight times any of them.
The company also sells. It is the seller on 28 sale deeds dated from January 30, 2025 to October 16, 2026, and four of those properties had come to it at a court sale. One in Ceiba, taken for $41,333 on June 10, 2025, sold for $50,000 on March 16, 2026.
