Bahia Apartments, a 12-story building of 104 affordable apartments at 74 Avenida Barbosa, in Barrio Pueblo, Cataño, has an approved residential use permit. The permit, filed on August 2, 2026, is the permits office's written authorization to use a building for housing. The project's consolidated construction permit was approved in a filing of May 8, 2023.
A month after the use permit, an infrastructure recommendation request for the project filed on September 4, 2026, under case 2021-405670-SRI-333732, was approved as well. It follows approved requests on the same case filed February 4 and May 6, 2026. In such a request the agencies for water, power and roads say whether a site can be served.
