Collins Aerospace plans an 11,500 sq ft call center in Santa Isabel
Hamilton Sundstrand de Puerto Rico, the island operation of the aerospace manufacturer Collins Aerospace, plans to remodel building PR-11 in the Felicia Industrial Park in Santa Isabel and turn it into a new call center for its customers. The filing describes the building as about 11,500 square feet (1,068 m2) on lot 10 of the park, out of use at the time of the filing. The company leases its lots there from the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company.
A categorical exclusion from environmental review for the remodel, dated May 24, 2026, was approved; the Single Permit application filed with it that day is incomplete. A separate case for the same call center carries health, safety and environmental recommendations dated June 3, 2026, all approved, and a consolidated construction permit dated June 18, 2026, that is at the inspection stage.
A year of filings at the plant
The company has made electromechanical and electronic parts in Santa Isabel since 1994, its filings say, and the call center is one of several projects it filed there this year. A consolidated construction permit dated January 7, 2026, covers solar carports carrying three photovoltaic systems totaling 2.004 MW of alternating-current capacity, over 106,054.90 square feet (about 9,853 m2) of construction, and is also at the inspection stage. On August 17, 2026, a plan to improve the partly unpaved parking of building PR-10 received an approved environmental exclusion; that filing describes PR-10, also about 11,500 square feet, as already in use as a call center. On October 9, 2026, another approved exclusion covered an electric UV LED curing oven for an existing coating, forming and packaging line.
