RED Atlas wants everyone — including people with disabilities — to be able to research property data. We are committed to making atlas.red and the RED Atlas platform accessible, and we design and build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
1. Measures We Take
Accessibility is part of our design system and development process: semantic markup and labeled controls, keyboard operability with visible focus states, sufficient color contrast in our design standards, text alternatives for meaningful images, and support for browser zoom and text resizing. We test with automated tools.
2. Known Limitations
Some parts of the Service are harder to make fully accessible and we are working on them: interactive maps and parcel visualizations (we aim to expose the underlying data in accessible tabular and search form); complex data tables and charts in generated reports. Documents produced by third parties (for example, scanned public records) may not be accessible in their original form; contact us and we will help you obtain the information they contain.
3. Feedback and Assistance
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or need information from the Service in an alternative format, email support@atlas.red or contact us through RED Atlas Support. Please describe the page or feature and the problem. We aim to respond within five (5) business days and to provide the information you need in a form that works for you. Support is available in English and Spanish.
4. Compatibility
The Service is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox) and with common assistive technologies.
This statement will be reviewed and updated at least annually and after significant releases.
